Winfield Arts & Humanities Council’s mission is to provide all people with
programs, opportunities and knowledge to enrich their lives through the arts.

This scholarship is made available for a resident of the geographical area
served by the Winfield
Arts and Humanities Council who
-intends to enroll as a full-time college student
-intends to major in the study of visual arts, drama, or writing
-has maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 (on a scale
of 4.0) for the last two scholastic years
-recipient may reapply successive years

NOTE: In the event an applicant is a non-traditional student, life experience
and other
criteria may be taken into consideration.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
The deadline to submit this application and materials is Friday, March 31, 2010,
by 5 PM.

1. the completed application form
2. copy of scholastic transcripts for the last 2 years
3. reference letters (3)
4. examples of your art or written work
One or more of the following may be submitted:
Minimum of 2 pieces of art work
Minimum of 5 pages of written work
Minimum of 5 minutes of video tape (drama)
The committee may request an interview of the applicant if it seems necessary.

THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Notification of the award will be made by April 23, 2010. Before the money is
awarded, the student must show proof of enrollment. The award will be granted in
two portions, one each at the beginning of the first two semesters of
enrollment. The student must show proof of enrollment in the second semester
before the second portion of the award is given.
