Winfield Arts & Humanities Council’s mission is to provide all people with programs, opportunities and knowledge to enrich their lives through the arts.
This scholarship is made available for a resident of the geographical area served by the Winfield
Arts and Humanities Council who
-intends to enroll as a full-time college student (either first or second semester)
-intends to major in the study of visual arts
-has maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) or equivalent from junior and senior years
-recipient may reapply successive years

criteria may be taken into consideration.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
This application must be typed.
The deadline to submit your form is Friday, March 31, 2010, by 5 PM to the Winfield Arts and
Humanities Council Office, 700 Gary, Suite A & B, Winfield, KS 67156:
1. the completed questionnaire
2. copy of scholastic transcripts for the last 2 years
3. reference letters (3)
4. examples of your art
One or more of the following may be submitted:
Minimum of 3 pieces of art work
The committee may request an interview of the applicant if it seems necessary.

THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Notification of the award will be made by April 23, 2010. Before the money is awarded, the student must show proof of enrollment. The award will be granted in two portions, one each at the beginning of the first two semesters of enrollment. The student must show proof of enrollment in the second semester before the second portion of the award is given.
